Georgia WIN List is proud to endorse Karen Lupton for House District 83.
Karen Lupton’s passion for public service led her to run for the Georgia General Assembly in 2022. She is now the State Representative of House District 83, which includes parts of Chamblee and Brookahven. In her first session in the legislature, Karen supported increased public school funding, stronger gun safety measures, and bills to protect women’s rights. Karen previously served on the Chamblee City Council, where she helped guide the city through the COVID-19 pandemic.
Karen’s professional background is rooted in the arts, specifically, music. Before reaching the State House, Karen was the Program Coordinator for Songs for Seniors, a therapeutic music program for elders with dementia at a nonprofit rehabilitation and long-term care facility. As a classically trained singer, she performed for over 20 years in the Metro Atlanta area as a soloist, choir member and conductor. Her experiences of connecting with people through music and service inform her role as a Representative, where she seeks to inform and engage her constituents.
