AnnaDear Friend,

I was hired as the Executive Director of Georgia’s WIN List four years ago. In that time we have accomplished a lot:

  • Raised over $600,000
  • Protected 96% of incumbents in 2010
  • Added 4 new women to the House in 2010
  • Flipped one seat Republican to Democrat (something that happened only 9 other times nationwide)
  • Added 1 new woman to the Senate in 2011
  • Protected 90% of incumbents in 2012
  • Added 3 new women to the House in 2012
  • Conducted 4 free candidate trainings
  • Conducted 3 free political staff trainings
  • Launched Farm Team

I will be leaving the organization at the end of July to pursue a Master’s Degree in Public Health and Policy from Georgia State University. I am excited for this next chapter of my life but sad to leave an organization that I love and that I believe in.

I have worked in Georgia politics for the last decade-in statewide campaigns; congressional races; United States senate races and more-and I can say without question that Georgia’s WIN List remains the single most strategic political operation in this state. There is no single other organization in Georgia committed to recruiting, training, electing and protecting Democratic women. And we have 12 years of history to prove it.

While there are many political organizations asking for your gift these days, I urge you to keep Georgia’s WIN List at the forefront.

If you aren’t convinced, remind yourself that in 2012, WIN List endorsed senators staged an anti-abortion bill walk-out; remind yourself that on that very same day, WIN List endorsed representatives turned their back on the speaker during the “20 week abortion” bill vote; and finally remind yourself that just before midnight, the WIN women of both chambers wrapped themselves in caution tape and refused to budge, chanting “we will not forget” as the men who had just voted to strip them of their rights headed home for the evening.

If the strength and perseverance of Sen. Wendy Davis taught us anything, it’s that as women, we can never ever give up. The fight is unfair; the fight is long but the fight can be won.

I’m game if you are.

Thank you so much for your support,
Anna Beck
Executive Director, Georgia’s WIN List
