HD 86 – Michele Henson
Rep. Michele Henson has served her Georgia House district proudly for over 22 years.
As the only Jewish woman in the House and one of three Jewish legislators total, Michele knows first-hand what it’s like to be in the minority.
That said, being in the minority has never slowed her down. Michele has a perfect Democratic voting record in the legislature; has been a strong choice advocate for over 20 years; and has fought hard for affordable health care options for women and children in her district.
Michele’s district (HD 87), however, was redrawn last year to include 15 new precincts. This equals out to around 50,000 new voters.
Not surprisingly, she faces a Republican challenger this cycle-someone who, if elected, would NOT be a strong advocate for choice; someone who would NOT stand up for the women and children of her district and someone who would NOT represent you during next year’s session.
